Remember Us?

Yes, it's been a while! Remember us?

We have been busy bees! A few weeks ago we had a snow event and Mommy and Mallory were out of school for two days. The best part way that Daddy stayed home too and, all of our friends came to play.

Mallory is rapidly becoming a toddler with her own mind and own agenda. This agenda includes eating all the time, watching Elmo, sucking her thumb while holding her blanket and screaming for volume's sake. She really wants to try to do things on her own, but by the end of the day she is so tired she has zero patience left. Her efforts to put a lid on a box or get a toy out of her toy chest last about 2 seconds before she gives up and throws something. (Insert crying/whining) I'm trying to let her do things on her own more, and we are trying to explain things as best we can to a tater tot who can't tell us whether she understands or not.

She threw her first "fit" last night. At Kroger. She refused to hold my hand so she laid down in the middle of the aisle in protest. We just laughed until she got up.

Her latest word is "GO!" Meaning she yells it. We count "1, 2, 3, GO!" and she repeats "2, 2, GO!" She scrunches her nose and her mouth makes about 10 different shapes in the process of forming and yelling the word, and it is super cute! This morning I held my fingers up and counted so she held her hand in front of her when she counted. Smarty pants girl.

There have been lots of other acitvities like Christmas, visiting relatives, relatives visiting us, playing, Mommy starting classes again at UALR, but we won't go into detail. I'll try to blog better in the coming days.
