Snow Days (last week)

Last week (or maybe it was 2 weeks ago already) it unexpectedly snowed Sunday night and we ended up being off work Monday and Tuesday! We were also already scheduled to have Friday and Monday (President's day) off so there has been a lot of Mommy, Daddy, Mallory days recently! We have had so much fun together, but I think BJ is glad for things to be back to normal so he can work. Since he is working from home now, he doesn't get much accomplished when Mally and I stay home. Anyway, when it snowed we bundled up and play on our street with Ellie while Mallory napped but decided to take her out for just a minute in the snow also. She got to wear her bunny hat that Aunt Lauren got her and her snow boots that Aunt Linda (Danielle) got her! She was so cute. This video is basically just her standing in the snow. Nothing exciting happens, but she is cute in her snow bunny outfit!

This week she had a break out of baby eczema which apparently is pretty common and usually an allergic reaction. We haven't figured out what may have triggered it but it came up right after her last set of shots so maybe that was it and it will resolve itself soon. It seems to be getting better already. The Dr. gave us an Rx for a POUND of hydrocortisone cream and said to just keep her slathered in it all the time.

At daycare Friday the "teachers" said that some youngish guy came to shadow them for his school. I guess he is probably doing elementary education or something at UALR. Anyway, they said Mally flirted with him the whole time! I guess none of the boys in her class are good enough for her. They are all bald anyway.

On a non-Mallory note, BJ had some successes this week regarding his business. We still haven't gone to the bank or SBA with our business plan for a loan yet, but he has been taking care of all kinds of other stuff I don't understand. He had to get at least a $10,000 bond to be able to get his contractor's license. Apparently this is no big deal to get a small bond, but he ended up being bonded for $250,000 which makes us look better in the eyes of the bank and will allow him to do much larger projects if he chooses to once he starts getting jobs. yay! He should get his contractor's license this week then all that's left to do is get some start up funds and do work! Pray that this goes as smoothly as the rest has so far. Here is the company's logo...

All for now!
