Non-Attention Grabbing Post

For my graduate school work in writing I have been reading about how to write effectively for webpages and blogs. Using visually differentiated text is key as is considering the 6 B’s (what readers like to see on the web):

Bullets – manageable lists; also affords opportunities to add links to let the reader read “deeper”
Boldface – emphasize key ideas
Breaks – long strings of text are a turn off the webpage readers
Boxes – structure text into graphs, charts and diagrams – content set of in boxes
Beyond black and white – not intended for print. It’s not going to cost you more. A color scheme helps the reader navigate but it has to been done right.
Beginnings – opening content is critical considering the ridiculous number of options of readable content on the web

So what, Diane? Why are you talking about this? Because, readers, this is the reason I don't blog very often. It takes too much time to think about it, and my brain is only partly functional right now as it is. So, aside from bolding the list items above, I'm not going to employ any of these techniques in this post. It's going to be boring and hard to read. Procede with caution...

How's Mallory?
She's fine. She talks a lot, but only in front of a select few.

What have you done the last few weekends?
Two weekends ago BJ and I took Mallory to the River Market and she played with the Game and Fish display, the Peabody ducks and in this fountain (this is it's intended purpose, I didn't let her just get in some random fountain).

BJ goes fishing a lot, but I got to go too for a couple of hours. I caught nothing, he caught a few bass.

This past weekend we celebrated my birthday and our friend Danny's birthday. Twenty of us went to eat at Cajun's Warf and had a really fun time! Being that we are old people, we ate at 6 and were in bed by 10:30. Good times.

So there's your lesson and cute pictures for the week.
Over and out.
