Mallory's Mid-Summer Update

I've been somewhat of an absentee blogger. I've been working a lot, but also taking days off here and there to do activities with Mallory. On Tuesday and Thursday mornings we have been going to a Mommy and Me swim class at the athletic club. It ended up being just us, Kali and Parker and Janna and Tap. Yay! Mallory is quite the swimmer. She is laid back about going under the water and really loves to throw herself off the edge into someone's arms. She is also really good about kicking her arms and legs. I hope that in a few years she will be a strong swimmer so she can join a swim team. I remember always thinking that sounded like fun, but was probably to afraid to want to do something with other people I didn't know. :)

Here is a picture from Parker and Mallory's snack time at the pool. He was sharing...

Mallory is crawling really fast, opening cabinets, pulling up on everything and trying to stand on her own. In 2 weeks, her and 2 of her friends at daycare will be moving up to the "I'm not so little anymore" class. She's going to have to learn to walk quickly if she wants to keep up! They also started bringing her the school lunch and letting her taste and play with/eat different foods. It's funny that she is big enough to eat a school lunch.
We saw the doctor for our 9 month check up today. She's, of course, perfect in every way. She didn't even flinch when they pricked her finger for a blood check. She was entertained with her large bandaid for a while.

She is saying "dada" more and "hi" and "bye" occasionally. "Bye" is usually whispery because she is still practicing it. She says "hi dada" all the time! To me mostly.

Here is a cute video of her playing in the Johnny Jump Up. Thanks Parker for letting us borrow it! Apparently it's super fun!

  1. She is the cutest, sweetest, happiest little thing! What a great little jumper! Maybe she'll join the swim team but like the high dive!
