Rambling On

Before I update you on little Miss, let me first mention the most recent frustration. Dog hair. As the Borg would say, "Resistance is futile." However, I do not believe we are being assimilated. I know no one but BJ and Mom will have any idea what I am talking about. Anyway, I love Ellie Mae, but her hair drives me crazy! Our vacuum has been semi broken for years and we caved and bought a new one so I can properly de-dog hair my home. We picked the o-so-raved-about Shark Navigator. The poor man's version of the Dyson. OF COURSE the one we bought is bunk! I don't know what its problem is but we have to exchange it. For the 2 seconds it will function before it claims to be clogged it works great! For future purchases I just need to plan on everything not working. (This time last year it took us 3 identical microwaves)

On to Mally...she is doing new things...again! It seems like overnight she has become aware of the world. She noticed her feet a few days ago and stares at them intently wondering how to get them in her mouth. This is because she has also discovered that she can put things in her mouth! Her hand has functions she never knew of before as well. a) It can be sucked on. Be it the whole thing, a fist, a thumb, two middle finger or any combination. Now, with intent, she can shove it into her mouth. b) Hands can move other objects into her mouth. However, if the object is too large to be brought to her mouth, she can move her mouth to the object. How exciting!
She is talking a lot more now too. She makes crazy kitty cat sounds a lot! Yesterday when I picked her up they said she had been talking to all of the boys. She also LOVES to stand. She wants you to hold her up so she can push down on her legs and wiggle around.

Last Saturday night was a suprise birthday party for Dennis, Kali's husband. Dennis turned 30 and Kali threw a party to mourn the loss of Dennis' youth. It was really fun and hopefully she will blog some pictures of it soon. The link to Kali's blog is on the right side of this page. Everyone at the party said that Mallory has the best disposition. Duh! They commented on how she isn't ever fussy and she just happily observes the world. She was so good even though she was sleepy. She managed to stay awake and soak up the attention.

Daycare update: Yesterday was better! The director of the daycare told me she had just been holding Mallory and she was talking up a storm. She ate her bottles and slept 45 min, 35 min, 30 min. Much better than 15 or 20 mins at a time. About to go pick her up now. Believe me, you will hear all about it if today didn't go well!
